Hi Guys,

In light of the fact that Honda have initally refused to help me with the VSA problem, can anyone give me advice on the best way to approach this situation i.e. letter, strong phone call or who to speaking with or contact concerning this problem.

Any help / advice would be grateful.

Dave

Assuming extended warranty would cover this then

It's £250 at quite a few dealers at the moment and includes roadside assistance in the UK and Europe.

I have it for my car

My warranty ran out in March 07, if I bought an extended warranty now I don't think they would cover it due to already been a reported fault.

My car was examined by Honda yesterday. Yep, it's the modulator. When I mentioned about hearing of few of these had gone recently, the guy said they had done 3 in the last couple of months. He mentioned the unit cost was about £900 Lucky for me that it will be done under extended warranty.

Slightly off topic - but have found Honda Chiswickto be very helpful since I bought the car earlier this year (not from them by the way).

Mine went in Feb or March this year. It is a Sept 07. It's a daily driver and so had not stood. Like the OP the warning light just appeared for no apparent reason.

Annoyingly it was when we had that really wet period and was really slippy. Reported to Stealer but they said there was a three week wait as they had lots of Jazz on recall.

Wouldn't accept it was a safety issue and wouldn't find a space to even do a diagnostic. Had to speak to the salesman who sold the car to me. Not sure what he said but they found a slot the next morning and module was in 2 or 3 days later!!!

is this worth a letter to Honda UK? Sounds like a batch fault on the VSA module, if it is they should be paying for the labour in addition to the part on mine!!

By the way Court Jester - good colour choice!

Wish me luck will be having a strong word with Honda today in light of trying to resolve this matter, and will be subsequently righting them a letter.

PS. BigT + CJ Royal Navy is a nice colour............. LOL
