VSA Module Failure
Honda UK may show goodwill if they supplied the car. If you have a Cypriot car you should speak to Honda Cyprus or take it up with Honda 'the manufacture' in Japan, good luck with that!
The independent garage and dealer I had LOTS of dealings with had both never seen a failed module on a S2000. They had replaced a number on other Honda cars, Accord and CRV was mentioned.
I have replaced a couple on S2000's and numerous more on previous shape Accord's & CRV's..
All have the same code of 66-1, but only the Accord and CRV are subject to an extended warranty to 6 years/62,500 miles..

Resurrecting a thread where the last post was in October 2011?! That is a shocker, I know, but in the time I've had to search, this is the best I've found...
It's been a long old time since I last posted. Still drop in every so often, but two daughters to look after mean I find it difficult enough to find time to drive the S2000 now, let alone provide any meaningful contribution!
So, sadly, I only come seeking help, and it appears I have the problem reported in this thread on my '07.
VSA light on, so got my local independent to do the computer jiggery pokery and the error codes were:
26-01 Lateral acceleration sensor failure
61-01 Battery voltage failure
62-1 Battery volt high
66-01 Brake pressure sensor failure
All but that dreaded 66-01 were cleared, so it appears I have fallen victim.
Is the view that this is still going to be an ABS module replacement because that's where the sensor is? If so, I'll get said local independent to whip it off, get it sent to (say) these fellas for a rebuild, and hopefully get that blasted light switched off again! (It is actually quite annoying how bright it is during dusk hours when you have the headlights on!)

Is it not the VSA module that is the issue here, or are they one and the same thing (Part number 57110-S2A-A51)?
As and aside, did anybody get a reconditioned ABS module from these guys (link in above post), and if the issue recurred, did their 'Lifetime Warranty' hold up?
"Lifetime Warranty*, unlimited mileage"

Lifetime warranty is only going to happen if they are still in business. You don't need VSA if you don't drive like a muppet, if you have it and it fails it's big bucks, you can't ignore it as the warning light is an MOT fail.
Simple answer is as you haven't got your S yet is get one without it.
And that ad was for an ABS module not VSA. I think it would say if it were VSA. And that's £1700
I have a spare ABS module from a 2000 model car with 28k on it (not sure if they have any difference?). I no longer have ABS as Ive deleted it, so surplus to my requirements
so if this is your problem and it can fix it.. let me know!

Previous thread on the VSA replacement here guys:

Still going strong with no issues and at that price you would have to ask yourself why pay £1500 plus. Even more reason not to worry about buying an S with VSA in my humble opinion. Especially this time of year when "potentially" yawning whilst hitting diesel spills at the same time!!
