Default Warranty Work To Be Done

Well so after a new updated clutch the vibration goes and in its place dodgy gear change !!!

But a quick visit to the dealers and a gear box on order , the spark plugs to be done and oil bolt .

With no fuss and no probs , well so far any way !

They did the clutch change no problem and no damage so we shall see !!

Oh by the way this is Temple Garage Harlow , so we shall see

They did find a dodgy knock sensor at the first annual service and would not let me drive car until rectified the next day upon delivery of a new sensor .

Watch this space !!!!

Hi Chippo,

Glad to hear Temple Harlow did a good job - I've lost all faith in Temple Hertford after the last service on Karen's VTi.

I will take mine to Braylake, Hatfield, I think, as they seem to be pretty good so far.

BTW, is it your cog-box, or have they not properly re-attached the lever?

Nick , I asked that very question , but the reply was no linkage envolved as its straight into the box , so unlikely and then they had a conflab with Honda and came back latter that day with the news that a new box was on order !!

So one can only presume that Honda do not willy nilly go about rushing to fit new expensive boxes every time a dodgy change is diagnosed . The service manager (Steve ) check a couple of others in the yard both engine running and stopped and it was clear the difference was very marked in change quality . At times have had to dip clutch 3 or 4 times to get into first , and missed a few other changes not just the first to secound .

Sadly, it seems to be the standard reaction. I would not be surprised if the new gearbox is no better. Please keep us updated.

I used Temple Harlow for first time on Wednesday to have new spark plugs fitted (product update). Work was done in 30 mins while I waited and, despite dealership looking a bit tired, so far I'm quite happy with them. However will be interested to hear your opinion after gearbox change and oil bolt work.
BTW it was it your Silverstone in Temple's car park on Wednesday?

Work done , no problems car returned ok withh no damage , so good so far .

New box is completely different from the old , advised to take it easy for a couple of hundred miles
They ordered in another new clutch just in case , as Honda do not suggest new clutch with warranty replacement box , just as well because the clutch fitted just prior to SM2 had not bedded in in and was still running on high spots and had a piece of frition material broken of , abeit small
New sump of oil after oil jets replaced , and they do need car for some time as mechanics do not like a face of hot dripping oil !!
Asked them to disconnect the headlamp washers , and sure enough they did , actually took out the fuse
So all in all not a bad job by Temple Garage , no alignment problems as spoken of elsewhere after gear box change and getting better all the time on the change front .

RMJ , maybe me on wednesday , and apparently they are due a refit soon , but is a posh shinny show room what you really want from a dealer , thats what I have seen else where and boy does the service price go up , and the sad old story about no discounts on S2000

Oh by the way they have 2 stock cars a Nrg blue and a silver both GT .

They only problem I have had with them is curtessy cars , they want you to insure after Ist day .
