Default Water ingress - a warning

Maybe it's my zealous overuse of a pressure washer, but I had to recently replace my beloved Focal speakers, as a result of them rusting to bits!

I reckon it was caused by my "technique" of washing the door sills with the pressure washer and therefore forcing water up into the drain holes of the door and onto the speakers.

A hard

Gutted to hear that - a lesson for us all.

Looks like it's going to be bucket & sponge from now on.

Very nasty John

However, it may not be the water being forced up thro' the drain holes - a significant amount of water passes through the inside of the door via the seals (or not) between the side windows / door.

This is why the inside of the door panels are sealed with thick polythene and the OEM speakers have those plastic baskets.
