Default Wheel Corrosion

Hi all,

As the title suggests, I have asked Bristol Honda to look at my wheels with a view to replacement due to some really bad marking on the lacquer. They have agreed with me on the marking/corrosion issue but they are only prepared to replace the 1 wheel which is significantly worse than the others. This is (sort-of) fair enough as the others are barely noticable, but is this the standard action, ie only replace the REALLY bad ones or would/should they replace all as a matter of course? Obviously its up to me to keep an eye on the others before my warranty runs out but I would be interested to know other peoples experiences. They have also agreed to replace ALL the centre caps as these are starting to go as well.

Thanks in advance,

Rob.

Once the wheels start to go the corrosion only gets worse. I had three wheels with corrosion obvious, but on the 4th i couldn't find the corrosion for the dealer to photograph because the wheels were dirty. They still replaced all 4.

if there is ANY corrosion under the laquer, get the dealer to photograp them and put them in for a warranty claim. It's not the dealer's decision to replace, its honda themselves. But it has to be visible corrosion and not just brake dust.
