Default Wheel replacements

Anyone heard any news on this? I'm still waiting so I may phone Honda UK(? number anyone?) as the dealers hands are tied until Honda release this 'bulletin'.

Just had mine replaced last week. Didnt argue, dont think they even looked, particularly as mine is not a winter car and you have to look hard for the pitting. The nsf was dinged when I bought it 03/02 and they didnt question that either, so they cannot have taken pictures.

Fortunately they let me have the new wheels to take home in my loan car (other warranty work done including brakes, oil bolt, plugs etc..) and left the old wheels on. A recall without any calls.

Just the screen left to go. They refute my suggestion that the scratches are a result of poor design and call it wear to be expected. Honda have issued a bulletin to dealers telling them how customers can remove the scratches, it looks like tips they have gleaned from this website.

my dealer has told me that there should be no worries regards replacement wheels for mine...they've changed sets before so I am not the first in their experience

I continue to be bemused by this wheel recall issue - some dealers seem to have heard about it others (incl. mine who actively chased it, can find nothing about it).

Dealers in most cases are now very used to replacing S2000 wheels under warranty so it is no great problem (as a rule - LB, you really need to see a more tollerant dealer - Southern Cowboys, Crawley, seem more so than most ....but, if like Simon they let you take the wheels away, there should be not need for them to touch the car so everything ought to be OK )

If anybody wishes to dispose of pitted alloys due to storage space or simply no requirement to run 2 sets, please let me know.

I would happily collect from anywhere and pay you handsomely no matter what condition. (assuming they're still round).

Thanks

Dave.
