Default Wheelcourier.com

I just thought I should let everyone know my dealings with this company as they have taken money from me and failed to provide the service they claim to offer.

I booked collection of an exhaust in September for another forum member on here. I paid Wheelcourier.com £30 and they failed on 2 attempts to collect the exhaust claiming the collection point was closed, when I know 100% that it wasn't. I then re-contacted them to request a contact phone number to discuss the failed collections as they don't have a phone number on their website. Wheelcourier.com failed to respond at all. There was no reply with a contact number and no reply to rectify the situation with a re-booking.

As a result I had to pay for another courier (Paisley Freight) to collect the exhaust at the cost of a further £30. They collected first attempt without fail.

I paid for the services of wheelcourier.com through Paypal so I attempted to contact them on the telephone number they had given paypal and this number is not in service. I then raised a dispute, giving wheelcourier.com sufficient time to respond to my request for a refund. Wheelcourier.com failed to respond so this was then escalated to a claim, which was subsequently closed as unknown to me, Paypal do not offer buyer protection on services!

This has now meant that I have paid £60 of courier charges as well as money on packaging for an item I only sold at £70 in the first place!

As I have been so busy with work, working on my own car and a number of other things I have only just written a formal letter of complaint to them requesting a refund (although my last e-mail also requested this).

I will update this thread with further information if the issue is resolved but I just thought I should make everyone aware of my experience and advise you all not to use this company under any circumstances.

If you are a member of other car forums then please re-post this as I feel that as many people as possible should know about this.

Can't you just do a chargeback on your credit card?

st Johns St EC1, a well known hiding place for "oficial" company addresses. I doubt if youe letter will get read.

"Is my payment secure?

Certainly. All our payments are handled by Paypal, the trusted leader in online payments. PayPal protects your credit card information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. Furthermore your card details are not made visible to WheelCourier.com.

I don't have a Paypal account - can I still book?

Yes - you can pay by debit / credit cards. These payments are handled by Paypal as such your card details are secure and are not made visible to WheelCourier.com"

Real shame you didn't use a credit card. Makes you wonder of the point of PayPal.

I used them once to ship a set of CE28N to Spain. I didn't realise try were dodgy until I Googled them and saw some of the issues. Fortunately mine got there, but there was no communication or tracking number.

Been using Paisely for a long time with only 1 minor issue.

I used them recently, with no problems. Just luck, I guess...
