I have recently fitted the larger perspex and had to open up the original one.

Its a pain in the ass but the fastest way imo is to remove it from the car via the 2 bolts. heat the black part with a hairdryer and gently prise it open.

once opened remove all the old glue and apply new glue (silicone or no more nails may work??) I used my hot glue gun and it has been fine upto 140mph! (on a track of course!)

Actually after writing this simply try heating it up and clamping it back together and lea ing it to set.... much simpler!!!

If the bracket has worked it's way loose from the centre console, remove the two black plastic covers at the back of the bracket with a small flat-bladed screwdriver, there will be two phillips head bolts underneath these. Open your centre console, and use an 8mm socket/ratchet to tighten up the nuts whilst using a screwdriver on the other end.

This can be done with the roof up, but it's much easier with it down.
