Default '04 headlight conversion question

Is it possible to have '04 headlights on an early model front end?

I know you swap AP2 headlamps and bumper on an AP1 but this morning i think i saw AP1 with AP1 front buper and AP2 headlamps. Whether or not i really saw it, or if i was just seeing things, it got me thinking.

Is it possible to do, does it require fabrication?

The only fabrication you would need to do is modify how the older style ballasts mount to the new style housings. It is literally the square peg into a round hole scenario. It is better to spend the money and get the right stuff first. You can always sell your old stuff to get some of the money back.

Yup....if you only want to do the '04+ headlight swap onto your pre-'04, it's possible.

There are a few people that have done it without buying the '04 ballasts/ignitors, but you may as well buy them too. You can turn around and sell your ballasts and bulbs to anyone on Honda-tech.com that wants an HID retrofit (an S2000 retrofit on their Civic or Integra is more pimp).

awsome, seriously thinking about doing it. Hardtop guty has everythiing to do the retro fit. I have real JDMs right now and am getting a little tired of the look.(not to say that it doesn't look incredibly sexy!)
