Regardless of what it is, it should be an easy fix. Cut through the protective sheathing as far back as the chewed up wire goes.

Pull the plug out of the MC. Cut the chewed portion of the wire off, solder on similar guage of wire from the cut, and re-sheath what you now have.

From the old wire and plug that you cut, open up the head of the connecter or pull the pin from the plastic housing (they are delicate, so do this carefully...if you don't know how to do it, take a picture of the plug and someone can walk you through it).

Once you get the pin out, cut off the chewed wire. Now solder the pin onto the new wire. Plug the wire back in. Done.

100% fluid level sensor. it only turns on the "brake" light on your dash.
from the pictures, the wires do not look repairable. if you take it to the dealer they will probably tell you that you need a new plug connector because the insulator of the wires were chewed so far back. and as far as i can remember, they don't sell a repair section of that sensor so the service writer will say you gotta get a whole new wire harness!

my solution will be to check the main for sale section. look for a car that being completely parted out. ask to buy that plug connector and as much of the wire as the seller can get out of the wire loom. then you can splice the new connector into your harness. sounds more complicated then i make it sound.

if you get the plug connector i can repair that for you. no charge. just buy me a beer or something if we ever at a meet together.

Pull the connector and take a picture of it. I may even have a spare connector of the same shape somewhere in my garage or in my basement.

If I have it, you can have it.

the light will NOT come on.
it's a "normally open" circuit. basically means that the light wont come on unless you touch the 2 wires or whats left of them together.

only problem you'll get from the situation is if your brake fluid should happen to fall below minimum (from a leak) the red "brake" light wont light up on your dash warning you of a problem in your brake system.

You will be fine driving it for the next couple days til its fixed.

My fluid level sensor is bad in my MC and the brake light is always on. Haven't gotten around to throwing out $150 for a part that still does what its supposed to with a bad sensor, sucks.
