tires on the OEM 16s just aren't that expensive unless you stick to OEM tires. the avon's i'm currently running was < $400 a set shipped. you'd have to have at least 1 blowout per the lifetime of 1 set of tires at that ROI. not worth it IMO.

i get more nails/screwed than i get blowouts.

road hazard is definately worth it, especially if they offer a lifetime road hazard. when the tread starts getting low just throw a screw in the sideall and get a free tire.
