hey guys. somebody broke the rear window of my car last night. the dealership told me that i would have to purchase the whole soft top replacement, even though it's only the glass part that's broken. the person that broke it didn't cut into the top, nor steal anything. is the dealership correct in stating this? i was seeing if anyone has any experience with either purchasing a new top from a Honda dealership, or purchasing a Robbins or Stayfast top instead. also, if anyone can recommend a good shop around the NW suburbs area that would help with the install, it would be much appreciated. thanks.

 

I don't have any experience with buying the top (although I suggest just trying to find a used one from someone parting his/her soft-top, or finding one from www.car-parts.com).

Once you get the top in, I'll be more than happy to help you install it (you buy the beer and burgers, though). You're not too far away...I'm in Algonquin (about 10 minutes west of you on Higgins).
