Default my diff noise is gone!

first of all i want to give a big thanks to luder94 and naseeb for helping me change the fluids on my car. urmil did the whole thing himself while i ate burgers and watched. i bought the gmsmfm for the trans and it definitely feels smoother. i didn't have a grind before but i had some notchiness going into 3rd and now its been smoothed out. we put mobil1 in the diff and now theres no more groaning as i engage the clutch with the wheel turned! and to top it off we put some mobil 1 in the engine and a installed new oem oil filter. the car feels smooth, quiet and i love it all over again.

Drive that car...and drive it hard. That car seems to have been babied by the previous owner. Seriously, beat up on the motor a little bit. It needs to loosen up a bit more. I'm sure once the motor loosens up, the motor will rev up more freely, and will be making more power.

I'm glad your car's rear end is quiet again. If any of the rear end noises creep up on you again and/or the transmission gets notchy, let me know. Wherever you park your car overnight, check for any drips or leaks under the car around the three drain bolt areas. And also, be sure to check your motor oil just about every other full gas tank, and top off as you need.

Union labor at it's best.

3 men watch while one man gets dirty(urmil).

I actually worked the grill so it wasn't all that bad.

So did you ever figure our your clutch setup? Didnt feel OEM?
Like Luder said, make sure to check your engine fluid level often. Make sure to keep the left over Mobil 1 in trunk to top off if needed.

I need to get myself a new shift knob . Makes the throws definately shorter. I'm a believer after the drive.

urmil said its prob a new oem clutch that hasn't been totally broken in yet, i'm not sure why it feels so heavy though.

to the arc ti knob. its expensive but since you're constantly using it i think its worth it.
