Genuine Honda transmission fluid for the tranny. Some run GM syncromesh friction modified. I know I did because of a notchy gear box. It def man a significant difference in the smoothness of the trans. If all is good with your trans Id stick to the honda fluid. I kinda almost look at the GM syncromesh as a bandaid.

I know a lot of people run Mobile One synthetic 75w-90 in the rear end. I personally did in my stock s2000 for a year. no issues. You can also consider Amsoil gear oil.

All of the fluids I speak of can be found here http://hardtopguy.com/store/home.php?cat=56

The leak you speak of....your clutch master cylinder might be leaking. Pretty notorious on s2k's. Snap a picture and post it up so we can see what your talking about and can verify.

The leaking fluid/grease from the cluch rod is very typical. They will leak if you never change your clutch fluid. To prevent it, all that needs to be done is suck out the old fluid from the master and refill with fresh fluid. Do this once a year. Old fluid will eventually leak out from the clutch rod seal. Im seeing this happen more and more as these cars are getting older.

Where do you shop for fluids around illinois area?
I just ordered from HTG but would like to avoid the shipping charge in the future.
