Default A...Weird Request.

Hi all.

I've been lurking this forum for a couple of years and now I'm in awkward position.

I currently own an NA Miata, however I'm considering selling the car in order to put some money towards buying an S2000.

BUT

I've never driven or even ridden in an S2000, which makes me hesitant as I know its not a great idea to sell a car (and lose money in the process) that I've maintained & know I like for a car that I've never even driven.

That said, would anyone in the Milwaukee area be willing to give a random guy off of the internet an opportunity to ride in their car (or for those more trusting than I, the opportunity to drive it?).

Thanks!

Cody

Not too weird of a request... Ik at my local SCCA Auto-X events someone more than likely would give you a ride. Maybe people up there will be as kind?

Good Luck!

If you're willing to come to Chicago, I'm willing to help you out.

Or go to a dealership that has one and take it for a test drive?

This is a really good option, I test drove several S2000s at dealerships before deciding to buy mine.

yup, dealership will be your best bet. I test drove mine at the dealership, fell in love and bought it the next day.

I checked autotrader/cars.com/etc., and not a single S2000 for sale at a dealership within 60 miles of where I live.

Trust me, if there were one anywhere near me I'd be making a B-line for it tonight.

As for the member in Chicago that offered, I really appreciate it my dude! But if I'm going to Chicago, I'll go to a dealership, I'd feel bad driving someone else's car if not necessary.
