Take out the spare tire and throw a backpack in there. Also, if you drive there with the top up, you can throw stuff in the area where the top folds down to. And if you're really tight on space, take out the passenger seat and make sonia sit on camping equipment

63K miles and this WAS the first rotor change on the car.

you can also run one screw in by hand to hold the rotor in plce and remove it when the wheel is ready to go back on.
wow, relatively new owner, no track days or what? By 60k miles I cracked at least 4 rotors (happens on the S if you use aggressive pads.... and go to Road America and Blackhawk a lot

I never felt the rotor mad pad changes more difficult, but could be just me. Then again I converted to Wilwood calipers a couple years ago and wouldn't go back from simple pulling the cotter-pin for the world.

It looks like it might rain. I hope it's not like last year. Nice job getting a support truck Pat!

Wait is F1 on Fox again this weekend? Speed channel is playing the practice and qualifying.

I always just download the BBC broadcasts because they have superior commentating and no commercials.

Yup, last one on Fox for the season.

And I agree, the BBC coverage is much better (although the previous year's ITV coverage was even better than that). ITV>BBC>Speed>Fox>nothing

For those that have been to this event before, are we really going to get 6 sessions in the first day? It seems like alot compared to prior open track days that I've been to where it never seems like they are able to run through the schedule as anticipated. I'm really getting excited about this; esp, if we get through that many sessions!! Yay!

Yeah, but the sessions are short. 15 minutes - in my experience most groups run 20 minute sessions.

You'll want to get lined up for your session early to maximize your track time.

I would like to think it was possible but with Five Run Groups I do not see it happening. Much time will be taken for clearing the track before another group goes out.

I always prefered many short sessions to fewer long sessions. I hate it when sessions drag out for 30 minutes. I have neither the patience to wait when it's not my turn, nor do I really have the stamina to give the track proper undivided attention when it is my turn for a full half hour session.

Agreed. I think 20 min is ideal. 15 minutes feels short between warm up and cool down lap (I usually only take to turn 6 before I start to go balls out). And 30 minutes is too long (I become very aware of brakes and tires and personal stamina).
