So I see 3 paid beginners S2k's, and 2 instructors S2k's (1 unpaid...although I'm guessing it won't matter unless his cars not running). It looks like there are more RWD instructors than Beginners, so it shouldn't be a problem. They'll probably pair the S2k instructors with S2k beginners. I know one of the instructors in a (turbo'd) Miata had near identical line and shift points at autobahn last weekend, so hopefully one of you ap2 guys gets him (he's a good instructor as well...helped me tweak my line and knows gingerman very well).

I am backing out, so if anyone wants my spot, you can buy it from me. I've already paid.

aw, man, sorry to hear that Dan.
Looking forward to seeing you again Pat. I'd like to split a few runs with your maxQ and compare. You were f''ing fast at Joliet and I want to compare technique.

For the guys who have been to Gingerman and/or WMHM before:

Is the amount of track time the same as other track days? For example CGI Motorsports? I was thinking of doing one of their July events, but if I'm going to Gingerman in July, it seems like WMHM is a better choice. It sounds like I give up a little bit of instruction, but I like the idea of more S2000's and learning from other S2000 drivers. Plus I think CGI is $245 for one day. WMHM is $260 for 2 days!

Anybody take a spouse/significant other along in the past? Is there anything for them to do if they don't want to sit at the track all day?

You'll get more track time in 2 days of WMHM than 1 day of CGI...but not twice as much. I'll try to dig up last years schedule to get an accurate number.

There are a fair amount of significant others around, but they usually look bored at the end of the day. There's not a lot to do at the track besides drive, spectate, socialize, and tan.

South Haven, however, is a really nice resort town (from what I've heard). Nice little shops and beach.

Yep I'm disappointed too but with the recent shake-up at work I've now got extra responsibilities. Goodbye 40 hour work week.

Jeggy is buying my spot.

I am registered and paid! I was able to get into the beginner group. I'll bring my tent along to camp out.

I second what was said earlier about Northstar Motorsports. Their helmet price was competitive with online pricing and they were helpful in finding the correct fit. I also brought some ATE Blue from them.
