Hey peoples...so I'm definitely moving to Salt Lake City. I am taking the S and I am unfamiliar with emissions laws in Utah. MSM told me there was a post in this forum but I don't see anything regarding smog or emissions in the title.

Basically, I just want to know if my car has to be OBDII compatable (I like my standalone). Also, I hear there's a way to register in another county even if you live in Salt Lake City and you don't have to take the car through emissions. Is this true?

Thank you very much for replying! That sounds easy enough. For anyone searching for a response in the future:

It appears you can get a PO Box in Summit County (Park City) or Morgan County and register your vehicle using that address. There's no emissions testing in these counties...only safety.
