Good Tuner Shops?
I will have my car turbo'd by the end of the summer. I have only owned the car for 3 months and love everything about it, but its lack of torque and power in the mid-range. I am going to street tune the car with a good basemap, but incase I run into trouble do you guys know of any reliable shops in the SLC-PROVO area that you would trust tunning with the AEM EMS? Thanks

Hey,
Course I have a wide-band. I wouldn't put a turbo on my car if I didn't. The reason I am going to try and tune it myself, is half the fun I have with modifying cars is the do-it yourself part. Thats why I am putting myown turbo kit together, and why I do all the mods on all the cars I have. I wish more people got into the projects and less on just driving and racing them. As much fun as it is for me to drive the cars, it is just as much to build em. Wish me luck guys, but tell me about your set-up that you had moster garage tune for you?

J.R. I wish I had the time and the mechanical skills to work on my own car. I do my own research, but the wrenching is always done by someone else.
What turbo are you putting in? For the AEM EMS, you can purchase a base map for your setup from Ultimate Lurker for probably $100. My car is currently in southern California at Alaniz Tech. Will be finished on Wed of this week and then it's headed to UL shop for tuning on Thu. After the tune ... I'll be making the long drive from LA to SLC.
My S2000 motor setup is a built motor from Joe Alaniz. It's the competition built motor setup, but setup for FI. For FI I went with the Comptech supercharger with aftercooler, spearco front mount, toda header and a UR 3 inch exhaust. Modern Garage installed a customer oil cooler that has worked out very well. Once I get the car back to SLC, I'll be having an Accusump installed.
Even if you do all your own wrenching, it may be worthwhile to have Joe do some head work for you. (http://www.alaniztechnologies.com/f20c1parts.html)
Will you be bringing your car out to the track?
