Sold my S2000
Lot's of PMs and a few phone calls about why I'm selling my car. I forget that not everyone spends lots of time in the racing forum here.
I put the car up for sale and sold it F A S T. Considering what I put in it in time, effort and cash ... it was a very cheap price. $29k for a fully race prep'd S2000 and $5k for the enclosed trailer.
Here's why I sold ...
1. I like investing piles of cash, time, thought and effort to sell for a small fraction of the cash invested.
2. After 30+ track days on the same track last year, I've realized I can drive it blind folded and want a bit more variety in tracks I drive. Miller Motorsports Park is an incredible track, but even after only driving it twice this season, I'm already bored.
I could garage the car out in CA again; though I'd have to deal with the hassle of maintaining and servicing the car. That's a big enough PIA locally; the thought of doing it remotely again ... well ... I just don't want the hassle.
3. I've decided arrive and drive is the way to go for me. I want to drive against similarly prep'd cars. My experience with Skip Barber has been very positive ... and so I've decided to jump with both feet into that series.
I'll still be around and probably as active as ever (in the racing forum
)
We'll likely have a BBQ and get together at my house when the buyer comes in town to pick up the car.

LOL ... we're already spending time on the weekends over in the high school driver's ed lot. She's already mastered the clutch. We're starting on heel-toe this week and shifting her apexes a bit later. Her brake throttle transition is delayed and she's not carrying enough corner speed ... but I'm confident we'll get there before she turns 15.
