Default 18" Wheels

Okay, I have spent hours on this site trying to find the proper information on wheels sizing.
I am getting beyond confused and frustrated.
I am doing my 2nd upgrade; first one was a new stereo system.
Now I am looking upgrade tires and wheels to 18".
I do not want to roll, stretch etc my fenders. Everything is bone stock and I plan to keep it that way.

Based on what I have researched I should be running 18X8 in the front and 18X9 in the rear.

What are the optimal offsets to fit a stock 2000 AP1?

Even the local tire shops come up with something that is in direct conflict with what I m reading from the
members on this site.

Greatly appreciated ..............thanks in advance

Have you seen this thread? https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/342...fitment-guide/

Also, just my own personal opinion: 18s might look somewhat off on an otherwise bone stock S. (They can look good on modified s2ks.) And 17s will generally be lighter! You might want to check out this thread: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/882...#entry20784992

Thanks for the input, I am not to concerned about the cost, I just want to get it right the first time round.
As you know there are so many combinations that people use the more you read and research the more confusing it can become.
