Thumbs up Dim Headlight

I have my bumper off and the passenger's side headlight out to check that the parts are correct, and they are. They are identical on both sides.

The light is not so dim that it doesn't look normal to the layman, but when I checked it with a light meter (I can't remember the numbers) it was quite a few hundreds of lumens lower than the other side. It's hard to see up the right side of the road.......

I found the problem just after I got the car while adjusting the headlights. I covered up the left side with a towel so I could better see where the cutoff lines were, and found that the right line was not only different (curved upward like the inside of a bowl), but also dimmer,

Anyone have any ideas? I tried a search, but found nothing specific to this problem. Do Ballasts "wear out"? Could the projector be faulty?

If anyone has an answer, I'd like to hear it. I don't feel like forking out big bucks for a little fix.

Found the problem. For whatever reason, the wire clip that holds the bulb in place was bent wrong, and the bulb was big time crooked. It must have affected the focal point of the unit (??).

No matter, It's fixed. I can now actually see down the shoulder of the road. For the longest time i thought my lights sucked, but now they are awesome. I threw a set of PIAA's in for high beam, and I'm good to go.

Thanks for your advice ttang!

Oh BTW, I put in a new pair of GE's......... Hopefully I won't have to remove the front end for a while!
