OK so I went back to the alignment place and asked the questions. He said that because of the combination of low profile tires and stiffer suspension on the S that jerking feeling of having the feeling the back end is bouncing left and right, is normal. He had a name for it even (snake sumthing), and said it is very similar to a motorcycle hitting those ruts in the road.

As for the 0.01 degree difference he said that was pretty much not measurable and the difference can even be caused by heat and that it was nothing.

These guys seem pretty reasonable and do one heck of a business. It is always busy and I see lots of Skylines and Silivia's and of course a whack of honda's.

He is correct, but in this case the toe is off by 0.1, not 0.01.
And based on your print out, that one wheel is no longer within OEM spec.

Just because you see a lot of skylines and sylvia's, it doesn't mean they are good. But since I don't know the island, I can't back that up. Perhaps try going to another person. I highly recommend PDM if you are ever in Vancouver.

Sorry to say this, but I call BS. I run a fairly stiff spring on my suspension on the rear (14K) and even when hit bumps during high speed corning on the track my car doesn't bounce around. It's all in the alignment and suspension setting (alignment in your case).

Also his comment about how heat can affect the alignment from left to right. That makes no sense whatsoever.

I would take it to another shop and get it re-done or at least re-checked. Your alignment guy don't know what he is doing.

I have no experience with alignments either Dave, but I say if it doesn't feel right maybe you should get a second opinion. The last thing you want to do is drive around in a car you don't feel confident in driving.

Have you driven any other S? Maybe you should have one of the island guys drive your car and vice-versa to see if you notice any difference in drivability.

I would research some alignment specs till you find the one you want, take one with you there and tell them thats how you want it, and not off by .1. This guy is taking advantage of you.
