Help: Car battery!
Okay, since i am storing the car for 3 months. I have just taken out the battery so that it wouldnt drain.
I was wondering, should i connect it to a charger while it's out of the car? And if i should how long should i charge it for, and how many times?(ex. once a week for 2 hours.....)
Will the battery slowly die down eventhough it's not connected to anything right now?
And one more thing, the indicator on the batter is blue with the red circle in the middle, so that means it's okay right now. So do i even have to charge it?
Thanks so much for all your help.

3 months is not very long you should be able to leave the battery disconnected without needing a trickle charge. In a worse case scenario a typical battery could lose up to 5% of charge per week, depending on environmental conditions and brand of battery. Last year I kept the battery disconnected for 6 months without charging, it started up just fine in the spring. But that was from a almost new battery, I would imagine it won't be that good on an older car.

Don't leave the battery on the concrete floor, put a piece of wood under it. If your worried about it when, it's time to re-install, put it on the charger for an hour or so, it should be fine.
