1. Once you have the title of the car, you need to fax it and an export form to the US border office 72 hours before you are allowed to take the car out of the US. I know the Truck crossing has a website you can download the form off of, but I can't find the link. Make sure that you contact the office later that day to make sure they actually got the form and that everything is filled in correctly, the last thing you want is to show up and find that they didn't get the fax and have to put the car in storage for another 3 days.

3. Just the DRL, a search of the vancouver s2ki forum should provide some hints of how to do it. I used a Hamsar module I ordered from a company in Ontario. It works great, and I highly recommend it over the disgusting kluge of a DRL that canadian tire will try to install. PM me if you need help with this.

well i was gonna look in oregon for a couple of reasons...
1. i would lookin seattle but prices are some close to prices down here...i've been watching craigslist and numerous sites for s2k around WA area...but there aren't as many compared to oregon/SF area
2. there are a lot of s2k in oregon/sf area...therefore...a lot more for for sale...a lot more competition...lower prices...

i mean...i'd be willing to buy anywhere around WA, OR, CA...the only trouble that i can think that i may have are...

as for DRL i think i'll just DIY...shouldn't be too hard...i hope :/

Another question..

Before i bought my first s2k, i ran into a white one that was a US import. Everything went well, i got it checked out at AJ and everything...till the day of the ownership transfer. ICBC said that the car was not road worthy and that a certain inspection was needed because the car had a rebuilt title due to an accident.

What my question is...what is your guys' opinion in importing a rebuilt/reconditioned/salvaged title vehicle?...i mean...for me...as long as the car's engine is still good for about 50k+ and that the frame and everything is good...the title doesnt mean much either than a piece of history to me...if i get the car cheaper then thats just being put to my modification savings .....opinions?

It all comes down to the basic questions, where what when why and how.
It could be as simple as a theft recovery where everything was stolen. Seats, wheels, slashed top, and destroyed ignition.
Or it could have been a serious accident and they took parts from 2 or more cars to make this one car. Remember about 9 years ago, a certain white MR2 turbo was for sale in the buy & sell. The owner crashed his car on Barnett Hwy going to Port Moody. Turns out the car was a rebuilt, 2 halves were welded together. The accident ripped the car in half where the welds were.

Personally, I like to try to avoid rebuilt cars because 1) you don't know how bad the accident was 2) resale can be tough if you do not have pictures and documentation of the car prior to the fix. 3) resale value.

That being said, take your time looking around. Good luck with the search,
