You should look up the TCT mod where people get the screw in the TCT sandblasted. Some people have tried getting a brand new TCT only to have the problem reoccur not too long after.

What oil do you use in your car? Mobil 1?

The reason I asked what oil you were using is because there seems to be a lot of cases where people are using Mobil 1 and having th TCT noise.

If you're feeling lazy and not wanting to pull the TCT out, then I'd suggest trying out a new oil. Otherwise, I'd take the TCT out and get the spiral sandblasted and reassemble instead of buying a new one.

I just replaced my TCT, and it's so easy you'll be embarrassed to take to a shop. The only tools I needed were: 10mm socket+extensions, 8mm hex drive/allen key and a pair of needle-nose pliers.
