From 16" to 18"
I am planning on going from 16" stock rims with Yokohama AVS ES100 to an 18"rim and just for camparison purposses the same tire. My question is will there be any noticable handleing or ride differances. If so what would they be? The 18" rims that I am thinking of are the 5Zigen FNO1R-C
Depends on the size and weight of your 18 inch rims. The car will feel heavier , less nimble, and a little sluggish with heavier and larger rims. At higher speeds your car will feel a little more planted. You will get used to the feeling in a few days of driving.
Yeah, that's gonna be the biggest difference, the ride quality will suffer due to a skinnier sidewall. I'm going back to 17's, don't like the ride w/the 18's.
You could go w/a larger aspect ratio for a fatter sidewall but then your gearing will be all messed up, not to mention the speedo.

If you go with a larger ratio your car will definitely feel more sluggish.
If your not doing any type of performance driving or racing these factors will make very little difference to you. You'll get used to the difference in a few days of driving.

These 18s are about the same weight as AP2 OEM Wheels. SO will it still feel a little sluggish?

technically, the rotational diamter will eb the same jsut as long as your in the right profile for that wheel. Since its an 18, you will have to run a 35 rear, 40 up front.
Ride quality depends on how you like things lol. It'll be more rougher, but seem people like that better
