Default 235/40 vs 225/45/17

Ok so I have 17x9 42 bbs lm up front with 235 40 yoko s drive. I turned up driveway and pulled my fender out. I was rolled. I'm just wondering if a 225/45 would give me more clearance due to the mild stretch? I know its taller so I'm confused some on width vs height and getting more clearance. Help is appreciated.

It would be better to either pull your fenders a little bit or dial in some more negative camber. The 225/45 will be 5mm narrower on each side if its consistent between the manufacture(no guarantee) But you can guarantee that it will be a taller tire 25" vs 24.3" So if you are turning the wheel, you may have more rubbing with the taller tire. General rule on this car when lowered is go in/exit on a diagonal, so that you do not need to turn your wheel much and risk f@#king up your fenders when the suspension compresses. That’s just general safe practice. Diagonal also helps you from possibly bottoming out, effectively increasing approach and departure angle. Hope this helps
