Default 245 tire on 17

How can i run a 245 at all four corners without modification? would it benefit me to run 255 in the rear?
what size and ofsset 17" wheel would i need?

Ive searched and searched and i cannot find a straight answer so i would really appreciate a straight answer from a knowledgeable source and not a comment about a search button or some other silly rif raf

With the correct wheels, yes you can. With stock wheels it may be possible, but it's not recommended.

The most beneficial way from a performance standpoint that is easy is to use a 17x9 with an offset right around +60 for all 4. However, a 245 will fit fine on an 8.5" and will pinch onto an 8" if you really want.

The cheap answer to running 255s on all four corners is tirerack.com TR Motorsports C3 wheels. At 17x9 +63 you can use these without fender rolling so long as you run some negative camber. Something like -1 degree up front and -2 in the rear should be enough. This is what I am using.

245/40 will fit just fine on a 8" rim. Looks SLIGHTLY meaty, I mean minimal meat. With decent pressure it won't affect your steering feel.

If you would have bothered reading Part I of the series, guess what, 17x9, +63 offset, 245/40/17 inch tires plus all the logic used to reach that size. Furthermore, there's information on why going to a non-staggered setup without adjusting the suspension is a bad idea. Oh, guess what else is there, a potential suspension setup to go with a non-staggered tire setup. If you would have bothered actually reading, you would already have had your answer instead of having to wait on others, plus a lot more useful information. How about stop being lazy and having people spoon feed you information.

There are guys that run the 245/45R17 on the factory wheels with race tires so it can be done. Without a stiffer front sway bar you may not like the handling. I also agree that a wider wheel would be better and the higher the offset the more clearance you will have at the fender.
If I can help with the tires let me know.
