Default 45 mm offset?

im looking into the volk te37 wheel and the highest offset I saw for the rear was 45mm. will i need spacers (b/c you need 70mm for the rear,i think)? or am i totally missing the point?

Depends on the width of the rim. Spacers won't work because they will make your offset even lower. Like 10mm spacer will make your 45mm offset 35mm.

Volks should come in higher offsets then 45.

Look at tireguys post in this thread to get a good idea of what offset you should get for different width wheels.
