Default Advan RG II Offset/Tire Sizes

Hey guys,

I'm considering buying a set of Advan RG II's in the following sizes:

18x8 45mm / 18x8.5 50mm

Can anyone tell me if those offsets are going to limit my tire size options? I will be runnng the car at autocross.

Yes, it will limit your tire sizes.

Just guessing, I imagine you wont be able to go over a 215 (maybe a 225) in the front and a 245 or 255 in the rear w/o fender rolling.

If you are lowered, all bets are off.

Thanks for the replies gents, that helps.

The car isn't lowered, but I do want to be able to run 245/265.

Unless I just run Rs on my stock 16s...

I ran 225/40 f and 255/35 r and they worked fine.

265's rubbed in the back.

I gonna say no way... but that is just a guess based on what I have read on this forum and put on my car.

The front is the toughest because your offset up there is WAY far from optimum if your concern is fitting alot of tire. It will look good, but sacrifice alot on tire size options.

To fit that much tire up front, you need an offset of AT LEAST +50 on the front and even then you probably will have to add camber/roll fenders.

The rear is a bit more flexible if you are not lowered since they dont turn, but you probably need a 8.5 inch wheel with a +55 or a 9 inch wheel with +60 to get away with a 265 rear.

I have a 255 on a 9 inch rear with +55 offset (it never rubs) and it is probably maxed out unless I wanted to get ridiculous with the camber or roll the fenders

OK, well then I guess I will just consider these for my street rims, they sound like they'll work well.

Right now my camber F/R is -1.6/-2.5. I'll just run wider tires on the stock rims, which means I'll need to move to Rs. Because you can't buy good tires wider than about 225 for the 16" rims. I do know people that are running 265 V710s on the stock 16s in the rear.
