another rubbing question
I recently picked up an '02 AP1 and am working on sorting out a few issues. One is that the passenger side tire rubs along the shoulder quite a bit, especially during bumpy turns. The car is on coil overs, so I did raise it up by ~0.5". While I can now exit my driveway without scraping, I still get the rubbing in turns. After reading this I'm inclined to think it's simply that the fronts are too wide. However, I'm wondering if this is something I could fix with a more agressive alignement vs getting new rubber. I do think the front fenders have been rolled slightly.
Wheels are Volk TE37 with RE760 Sport tires:
Front: 17 x 7.5, +48 offset, with 225/45/17
Rear: 17 x 9, +65 offset, with 255/40/17

Fronts definitely aren't to wide. You need to look and see if the fenders are rolled easy way to tell if the fronts are rolled is if the fender liner isn't trimmed it isn't rolled. Those front wheels aren't nearly aggressive enough to need any camber. Look and see if you can tell where they are rubbing. Take pictures if you aren't sure.

Yes, the fender liners are definitely cut on both sides. Here are some lousy phone pics:
You can see where there is a bit of the fender that is creased. I did tuck that up a bit, but maybe it's still causing the issue?

Enh. I have dealt wih this on one car with my roller but you can still tell something happened. The paint crack is pretty much there unless you have a bodyshop fix it.

Thanks for all the info. Now I just need to find someone local (NorCal) to clean it up.
Two more questions: do I need to replace the fender liners? Should I have the rears rolled and the tab relocated even though they don't seem to be rubbing?

No because they will trim some of it for the fender roll. With your wheel specs you shouldn't need the rear rolled but if you ever think you will want other wheels with lower offsets you will need them rolled. I would just have them do both while they are there.
