Have the people who are chastizing the XS in the wet actually driven on them? I have been through several sets on two cars. YES, on track in the wet they are pretty bad compared to similar tires, but for street driving they are completely fine. Maybe I just don't drive as hard in the rain on the streets as some of you. They were dirt cheap last time I bought a set, but it has been a while.

I am going to give the RS3's a try next.

Lack of wet grip is MORE of an issue on the street IMO. Not that you're going for fast lap times, but you might just find yourself in need of wet grip in an emergency situation.

IMO, no reason to compromise on wet grip, *especially* on the street.

You shouldn't be driving crazy in the rain anyway. On wet roads your objective should just be to get from point A to point B safely - especially in this car. Save the superhero driving antics for when the road is dry.
