About installation

CAD Plating comes off quick and you'll still have rust on the rotor. If you looking to just prevent rust, replacing rotors is not a wise of expense. Most aftermarket rotors are CAD plated. After washing & drying the car, drive around the block and then just wipe off the rotors to get residue rust off of them. Wipe down the inside of the wheels also to take off rust residue the fell onto the wheel.

cad platting will only come off with high heat or excessive braking (tracking, etc.)...
mine are two years old and look like new still. as with anything, how they look depends on how you take care of them.
mine are from spugen and installed by spugen.
i see that you are in calif, but dont know where...
not hard to install (if you cant do it, any mechanic can)- or if you are near l.a. area, just have spugen do it. great guys, and always a mini-meet goin on there on weekends.
i think they are at: http://www.teamspugen.com/
the brakes brake at least as well as stockers... and if you install them the other way they will brake quicker (and will dust more). again, i am interested only in looks, so i want low dust and no rust!
The CAD and zinc coatings all wear off the disc-pad friction area fairly quickly, but it stays on the hat for a long time which is were the rust gets ugly. The friction area really doesn't matter since if you use the brakes once it becomes clean. For the stock rotors you could very cheaply just paint the hat of the rotor with some quality high-temp brake caliper paint. Just cut a donut of cardboard and put it over to rotor to keep the disc surface clean of paint. Be sure to get the paint with ceramic flake in it to help disipate the heat. most auto-part stores sell the stuff in a variety of colors.
