Default Could I?

So im lookin at some new wheels.
The rear wheels is 9 inch rim a +55 offset... i think
So my question is they recommened a 255/35-18 on that 9" rim but the tires i want dont come in a 255/35-18, but a 265/35-18... so i was wondering if i could pull off putting a 265/35-18 on there instead of a 255/35-18?

you could, but you might rub unless you dial in some negative camber and/or roll the rear fender

Or you could go with 245/35/18 for the safe fitment

ok so if i went with the 245, the size would be 245/40/18, instead of a 245/35/18...
according to them the 40 is a 25.7 inch total size and the 35 is 25.3 inch total size
would that 5 difference in side wall or 1/2" make a big deal?
