Direzza Z1 Star Specs
^ I would not put a 255 star spec on a 8" wheel. Star specs run wide (a 255 ss had over 1/4" more tread than my previous 265 Toyo t1r) and the sidewalks are very stiff so it would be too much of a balloon. They seem a little too big on the stock 8.5" ap2 wheels. I would stick with 245 (or get a wider rear wheel
)

Running 205/225 F/R star specs now for over 2 years and have not looked back. best traction I've had hands down and very predictable. not as predictable as crap tires of coarse but better than other tires I've driven on (Proxe4, Ventus R-S2, Exsta MX)
The traction level does drop off quite a bit much when you reach the treadwear indicators but then again that does mean you should change the tire for a reason correct?

i had my S w my ap1's back in NJ and it was about 50 degrees and dunlop ss's still stuck to the road. wow!! i love these tires!
I live in TX now so i cant have them cause alot of miles r put on S because if i wana go anywhere i gota do about 140-185 miles one way!
I'm running star specs at 225 square on stock AP1 wheels with a gendron 1.25 solid fsb. The car feels great in the twisty and on the autocross course. The tires last longer than any other high performance tire I've used, and they're great in the wet. I use Bridgestone Re970 all seasons after autocross season is over, so I think my current set will lest until the new gen star specs come out.
