Federal Tires!
Hey guys, well I just bought some new wheels and want to throw some sticky tires on there. I have s02's on my stock ap1's right now but I want something just as good if not better. I have been looking into re-01's and I know they are great, but they are pretty expensive (since I just bought my wheels
).
Anyway my friend has great hook ups with federal tire and I should be able to get them at an amazing price. I have been looking at their selection on their website and it seems like they offer a few ultra high performance tires and semi slicks and what not.
Anyone have any experience with these tires good or bad that I should know about?? TIA guys!

I want to specify I do NOT want a tire with LESS grip than the s02's. It seems like all these tires have one comment or another about drifting which is what I will not be doing. Last thing I want to do is be drifting.
They have a semi slick tire called the 595RS and an ultra high performance street tire called 595EVO. Anyway let me know your experiences on these tires. Thanks again

I think grassroots motorsport tested those federal 595rs' an issue or two ago. Their conclusion, IIRC, was that they are a great budget tire. However, Falken Azenis were better in most aspects.
Only downside of the Azenis is they're not a great track tire, as more or less everything I've read about them states they get greasy and loose grip on the track fairly quickly. On the street/autocross, they are some of the best tires you can get, especially since they're fairly cheap. I'm not sure if they'd have MORE grip than the S-02's though. . .I'd think they'd be fairly equal.
