Default Getting rid of the stagger

I have an 01, want to upgrade to 17 .... would it hurt anything to just get rid of the front/rear stagger and get say, straight 17x7 with 245's all around? (just an example)?

This is a daily driver and will never see the track so I'm not worried about performance loss as I doubt i will feel it commuting to work, I just want to make sure I won't run into other issues like steering wheel vibrations, uneven tire wear etc.

The car is not going to handle as well without the stagger if you do not do suspension mods. I would not recommend it.

It's not just "performance loss". You'll see a definite change even in daily driving.
