Default Hoosier DOT drag radials

Posting here since I got no response in s2k talk.
Heard nothing but good things about these. Better than BFG and MT's. I want to run 12's all motor. I think these would help make it happen. I am a little concerned with the axels though. Has anyone ran slicks or drag radials on their S before? My other concern is the stock clutch may slip.
225/50/16 on stock Ap1 wheels would be my choice, Dunlop SP Sport FM901 205/40/16 up front for weight and rolling resistance reduction.

With my the new gears, V2, Ricks header and tuned VAFCII I think I have a good chance at it considering my previous mods and times, with horrible 60ft's. With a 1.8-1.9 60ft I could knock at least a half second or more of my previous 1/4 time. Any thoughts?

A 15" wheel would be better, if it will clear your brakes and if you can find one that fits. The added sidewall will flex more, protecting your glass diff from the shock.

I have the comptech reinforced diff, but I still don't know if it can take the abuse?

probably not, but if it does, something else along the way will give, either your half-shafts or your tranny. I don't know about the driveshaft set-up on an S2000, but you might be at least a little concerned about what will happen if your driveshaft fails at 9000 rpms. The secret to keeping these parts alive on other cars seems to be to try to avoid shocking the drivetrain as much as possible. Rapid application of power is easier on parts than hammering them. So don't let the clutch pedal snap back up at full throttle, but rather lift your foot off very quickly. Of course, I don't have an S2000, I'm just relaying knowledge about what works with other cars.

these arent going to help you. Even if they do hook up and nothing breaks you are going to bog...you need some wheel spin to stay in vtec after the launch.

god love ya, but I highly doubt you will hit 12's N/A with your stock weight.

moving to tire forum. that's maybe why you didn't get a reponse in S2ktalk before.

That's another benefit of this setup, weight loss. My car is aprox. 2750 with 1/2 tank of gas, W/O driver. This combination will save another 35lbs. And that 35lbs is unsprung weight which has a greater effect, and 20lbs of it would be reduced off the drivetrain. Then there is the whole rotational mass and rolling resistance reduction as well. I am also running stock clutch, I think it will give way and slip before anything has the chance to break. Also might take out the passenger seat, putting me around 2685lbs. I guess it seems no one has attemtpted this before, so I will just have to go for it and see what happens.
