I couldnt find anything like it on the net. On my last set of rear tires, they were both bald, except one tire had a small patch of tread that ran across the tread width. Has anyone seen anything like this before or what coud cause it?

I cant find a pic online and wasnt able to get an actual pic. I will try to draw one out.

The best I can describe is almost looked like a cam lobe from the side profile of the tire. The lobe part was where the remaining tread was that ran the width of the tread. maybe 2 inches.

 

It doesn't sound like anything that I have seen. If it ran across the face of the tire in one spot only it can not be alignment. A picture of the tires would be best.
