looks great. i heard someone with 17x9.5 +45. i would imagine a 38 offset could work just need a lot of fender mods to get these babies legit

Even with the 18X9.5 and a 45mm offset you will need some fender modification. An 18X10 with a 38mm offset would require work on the fender and probably some more negative camber.
