if the search function were better id find out where he lived and we can gather a s2ki group outside his house for demand of reparations.

this is rediculous, especially from a fellow s2ki'er

I think you are being too nice.. take action. Get some help on this board as there are many members who are willing to lend a hand. Talk to the mods about it etc. Dont let him run you over like that.

I think you should talk to his friend... He lives across the street.
I think they live in Mississippi, based on the Ole Miss license plate...

Also, he says he is selling 3 good rims, 1 "damaged" wheel, AND a NEW wheel... What gives?

Good luck.

I pm'd cmrs2k to see if he could help out since he knows him, which can either be good or bad. Either way its worth a try.

I know it's been said a few times already but a tire machine CANNOT damage a wheel like that. It was definately curbed. You should take it to your local tire shop and ask them to spin it on the balancer to see if it is straight or not.

2nd, it is ILLEGAL for someone to make a video/tape recording without your knowledge/consent. He is obviously an ass and is trying to pull a fast one on you.

I sent you a PM...

I'm gonna see what the story is if I get a chance today... Hopefully we can get this resolved and make everyone happy. I responded in the other thread, but I don't read and visit the forums too much. If I don't respond quickly, sorry...

I just got the PM this morning, so I'll see if I can verify any of the info/story from Boosted. I'll get his side of it and try and mediate a little, not really my place to get in the middle of this, but since I did vouch for him, I'll do what I can to help.

I do know he has been very busy lately, and I am the one that finally got his computer running again last week because of trouble installing on a SATA drive. Just last night I lent him disks to finish installing photoshop and office and such... So hopefully he can be more reachable and maybe get those pictures posted if they didn't get lost in the rebuild.

from the other thread he posted..

where to begin? ..

i made a thread posting the wheels for sale explaining that one of the wheels had paint damage and that i was soon to get a new replacement wheel. carlos contacted me and wanted to buy them. once the new wheel came in i told him i was going to have the tire dismounted from the wheels. i dropped the wheels off at the shop and picked them up a couple days later (there was a delay because they told me their machine had messed up trying to mount a set of tires on a 22" rim.. but that's besides the point). as i was packaging them i noticed that the rear right rim had a small chipped area on the inside of the rim. there was no crack present at that time, just the chipped part. knowing that this was not a big deal and would not cause any problems at all concering appearance, structure, etc. i shipped them off. a few days pass and carlos sends me a pm stating that the wheels arrived to him and that he was pleased. a couple days later i get another pm from carlos telling me about the crack. at this point i told him i knew about the chips (which when i told him this he said "oh yeah, the chips are no problem since they're on the inside of the wheel") but that there was not a crack in the rim and that ups must have dropped the package and banged that section of the rim. i know it would be a strange coincidence.. but it happens. another thing i was concerned with was that carlos didn't cause the crack himself. how am i supposed to know if he didn't take the wheels to a tire shop and something happened to them then? it was infact 2 or 3 days after he received them that he made the complaint. all i know is that i'm 100% sure there was not a crack in the rim when it shipped out and i refuse to spend my money on something that i didn't do. i've offered any help that i can give through getting his money back from ups. there is not much else i can do.

as for the pics being resized.. yes i had to reformat my computer and lost photoshop. i tried uploading through imageshack and doing the automatic resize, but my pics are huge and even imageshack wouldn't do it. but like cmrs2k stated, i'm installing photoshop on my computer now and can resize the pics. but i'm not sure how much it will help since i didn't take pics of the actual chipped area.. just of the wheels.

i love how people jump to conclusions

I didn't see the chipped area before I dropped the wheels off to have the tires dismounted so I assumed the shop caused it. However, when I did notice them when packing the wheels there was not a crack. I've got two guesses at what happened..

1. ups dropped the wheel on that area and it caused the crack.
2. carlos caused the damage after he received the wheels. he waited a few days after getting the wheels to even inform me of the crack.

and the reason i was being so blunt in my pm's to him is because of how he first contacted me telling me about this. i responded to his attitude.

I posted in the other topic also...

You responded to my attitude? How about I sell you 5 wheels, tell you one only has paint damage, and you find out that another has more damage? What would you do? It took me a few days to find this damage because I was not told it was there. That is why I did not contact you about it immediately. Why did you not tell me about the chipped area? This information would have been nice to know. Im not going to sell someone something damaged without their knowledge of it, it should be their decision, not yours.
