SSR GT3 or Volk SF Challenge - 18" Wheels
I really like the looks of both of these wheels but was told by Upgrade Motoring that neither have the proper offsets in 18" wheels. I know numerous people have both of these wheels on their S2000's and would like to know what sizes they went with and whether there is any rubbing.
Also, the GT3's seem pretty heavy at about 24lbs each. Howmuch performance decrease can I expect from my stock rims if I went to the 18" GT3's?

I'm going to venture out and guess that the huge bump up in looks will easily allow you to oversee any performance effects of going with a bigger, heavier wheel.
It is noticeable, but not enough so that it makes street driving any less fun. It just looks THAT much better and you won't be losing races to a stock S2000.
And you will rub, especially if you lower the car. And lowering the car comes hand-in-hand with upgrading to bigger wheels because it makes your car look like a 4x4 if you don't.
Just roll the fenders, trim a few bits and you should be able to escape the rubbing. Go with 225/40/18 tires up front and 255/35/18s in the rear. Don't cheap out on the tires. I recommend the Michelin PS2s.
I favor the SSR GT3s over the SF Challenge. The Challenge wheels are on the gimmicky side. SSR GT3s are classics.
SSR GT1s are great looking as well, especially in 18s. Light, too. You just don't get the lip if you're into that sort of thing.
Good luck,
