I'm not disagreeing that they won't last as long on an S2000. But i've had S02's as well as KDW's on the Audi, and relatively speaking the KDW's have lasted considerably longer than the S02's. Now how long they will last on the S2K I have no idea, i'm just saying that they will last longer than the S02's.

First time out in the Rain
Todays ranking
We had a pretty good rain going on here in Charlotte today, so I took her out for a test
I hit the stream going across the I-77 Arrowwood southbound onramp, accelerating through it, first time I've done that in a long time. No problem. Then merge onto I-77, big bump at bridge, again, no problem.
OK, we'll take it a little further. Exit Westinghouse, make a right, whip a U, and the rear end stayed planted. Take a fast sharp left back onto I-77 northbound under spirted throttle, no problem Tested the S curve arrowwood exit, and performed several brake tests, once again, no problem.
Went down to South Blvd, stayed in the right lane, right side of car constantly in the curbside stream, no problems
Changed to the left lane, 2 tire grooves full of water for about a mile, and once again, no problems.
Wow, I can trust my car in the rain!
I have yet to attempt any true spirited driving on dry pavement since the weather has been so cold, but I've pushed it a little with no problems.

7000 mile update
I've just returned from Wake the Dragon, and now have over 7000 miles on the Dunlops.
I've worn off only 2/32 of the tread, with very even treadwear, so I expect to get over 20,000 miles out of them.
The weather has warmed up, and the tires perform fine for street driving. They are NOT S02's, but I did push them fairly hard on the Dragon, and they tend to squeal unlike the S02's, and I did not push them past their limits.
Daily driving, I can push them just as hard as I ever pushed the S02's taking 90 degree left & right street corners. No problem.
In March, I was at the track, and a guy with a Cobra was running them, so I asked him how they performed on the track, and he said they were great, no problems.
I'll be buying victoracers before my next track event (the S02's were grease the last 2 events with less than 3/32's max, and somewhat bald on the edges.
So I give thumbs up for the Dunlop SP 5000's. They fit my needs well.
