I just replaced my stock S02s with the RE050As a couple weeks ago. They are quite good, and tirerack had them for $79/ea so even better! There is a slight decrease in grip from my almost-bald S02s, but for almost half the price, I can't complain.

Hi. I have been autocrossing my 06 S2000 with the original tires. After 6k miles the rears are trashed. We get a generous street tire allowance in my club, so I want to get the best handling street tires rather than race rubber. A guy in a Z06 routinely takes the ASP class with Azenis 615s and he told me to get those - practically race tires. I tried to get them but they don't come in the right size (215-45/17 front and 240-45/17 rear). What is the best street tire for autocrossing if you don't care about price or durability?
