Default Tire set up

I need some opinions on my tire set up. I bought my s2000 used. The tire set up on the car were mismatched ,they never had the oem tires on the car. I was running>

205/55/16 Yokohama Avid v4s 2 front
225/50/16 BF Goodrich G Force T/A KDW's 2 rear.

I decided to change the two rear tires because the tred was going low on both rear tires. I changed the tires to 225/50/16 Bridgestone Potenza re750's today. I didnt change the front tires because they still have 80% tred on the fronts. Is this set up acceptable? I know that there are alot of posters stating not to mis match the tires. Need some opinions. Thanks in advance.

Not really, but it will affect the car's balance and handling.

I should have read the sticky on the top section on this section of the message board. The car is my daily driver and i take the car to redline sometimes, but dont take corners hard. Will i be safe to ride on the rears till they wear? I really cant afford to buy a new set of rears right now since i just purchased these new tires.

Of course you can. Lots of people do. Just understand what a little less rubber on the back will do. It'll have a tendency to grip less in the rear so just don't get as close to the car's limits as before.
