Weights, OEM baseline 2007 ties/wheels

I agree, although I do not consider myself overweight. However, and you know this as well as I, unsprung weight is very different indeed.
By the way, this would be almost whimsical except for the trouble it might have caused: on the Tire Rack website, after selecting the cars as an S2000, and choosing the wheels, I proceeded to shop for tires, and added the Dunlops to the "cart". What I did not notice, and should have, was that somehow it selected 255/40-17 FRONT tires! My contact @ Tire Rack, Hunter, caught it immediately and fixed it (I went in later and tried shopping for tires w/out picking wheels first, and it went straight to the correct size). A simple "glitch" but it's great that someone was watching my order, or I'd have had a massive return-to-supplier on my hands. Great customer service!

The torqe spec is the same as stock. The F3 is actually 15 lbs front and 16.6 lbs rear. If you track the car or auto cross the car will be quicker with the lighter weight wheels. I don't think it would be something that you can feel though.

i just think its funny when people talk about saving single pounds of sprung or unsprung weight and they are like 5' 8" and 285lbs. hmm.....wonder whats really affecting the balance of your car
Yeah, I see your point -- no the S2000 is fine, but I overdid it two vehicles ago, way too much unsprung weight (bought combo from a competitor of Tire Rack's) and now have no wish to do that again.
As for overweight -- yup, but I remember a friend winning a seasonal auto-x trophy once , 300lb guy in a Datsun 1200.
went on to SCCA racing in 1200's, blows my mind. If you're fast, you're fast.
BTW, Jim @ TR, thanks for the torque info.
Well, the rears showed up yesterday but the fronts arrived today at my mother-in-law's, just as the Washington DC snowstorm hits. Probably a few days before I can report on installation of the wheels and tires.
On car now, look great, have not had car out of garage yet. Will report after driving. MIGHT take a picture but I've already seen a red S2000 with these wheels on another topic.
OEM wheels/tires take up a LOT of real estate in the garage, I need to look into a wall rack or something to store off-season rubber.
