Distance to the brake caliper changes with what face the rpf1 have. The convex face has tons of space for bigger brake. The concave face which is likely what you are looking at doesn't have any space hell it barely clears the stock brakes. There is tons of info on these wheels and huge thread in the gallery to help you.

Yeah to build on what manga said. The convex wheel from the rpf1 line up is what you need for up front to clear a BBK. Either the 8 + 45 which is a common up size for the front which will accommodate a 225, or the one which I run which has even more clearance and width with the 8.5 +40. This wheel size is 13mm more aggressive and really requires a little bit of a fender pull up front to safely clear if you want to run reasonable camber. After the 8.5" it moves to the concave face at 9" and wider. The 9 +45 is the most reasonable rear option. 9.5 +38 can be done but its pushing it with a 255, rolling fenders and bumper relocate and -3 camber. 245 gives you a little more room to run less camber.

thanks for the help guys i appreciate it. I did not even know there is a convex wheel and concave wheel design to be honest. But i do like the look of the concave design. Im a student currently and its not easy to save up for wheels, suspension, engine parts and all that good stuff quickly. i work on the weekends and my car payment takes 50% of my monthly income. right now i want to do thorough research on what im looking for and when the money has been saved, i will definitely look back on your input to make the decision of what wheel specs i want to put on the car. thanks guys

Rears already rolled, but here's a potential set that just became available on Craigslist:

18x9.5 +43
18x10 +44

Fronts definitely need a roll for those. For tires I would do 245 in front and 255 in the rear and you will likely need between 2.5 and 3 degrees of camber in front and about the same in the rear (probably closer to 3 in front and 2.5 for the rear).

Looks like a good wheel and not a bad design, definitely would look good on someone’s S. Fronts are aggressive but with a little pull and some camber they should work well. Rear will sit pretty good with the normal fender mods. Make a perfect performing 245/255 stagger.

Wow old school volks. Thats a good price and I haven't ever seen those specs before. Not a big fan of how they look but like Junky said it is a good performing wheel.
