My first thought was yuck. Second thought was an image in my head similar to the photo of the Ferrari Daytona Spider that was posted, that maybe that could work.

The right color S, the ap1 nose, no lip, etc. Maybe, just maybe...

Oops, I need to clarify my thought posted above - I forgot to edit out the second part of what I quoted.

I do feel that the wire -type wheels need to be the right kind and on the right vehicle, but I disagree that the S2000 is automatically NOT one of those vehicles.

I feel the concept has great potential merit, which was why I tried to support the idea with the pic of the Daytona. I think the S could look great with the right kind of wire wheels - very classy and classic.

I know it's not a true wire spoke wheel, but you might like the BBS RS. It's a quality wheel that doesn't have to be custom made.

Having owned a Fiero Formula for 10 years with factory wheels very close in design to those BBS wheels, I can attest they are a HUGE pain in the ass to keep clean.

Had mine not been black, they'd have looked MUCH worse for wear.

I'm absolutely LOVING my 10-spoke AP2V1 wheels in comparison these days...

I always loved BBS wheels, but they are something that requires commitment and dedication, as would the wire wheels mentioned in the start of the thread.

... which amusing as the TD in its day was decried for being too modern, including not having wire wheels.
