does anyone have any idea on what fender work i would need? and could i fit these rims on oem tires? i already have fenders rolled

or should i go with 17.7 +47 17x8.5 +42

Second option would be much easier but the first ones are not impossible. You will need more camber for the rear at least -3. Fronts would need - 2-2.5. You might be able to squeeze a 255 in the rear. You should be able to put at least a 225 in front. Just make sure the fenders are rolled flat and the tabs are relo'd.

I agree, second option would be much easier to fit but the 9.5" rear looks SO much better that I would figure out a way to make it work. You could use OEM tires, would be quite stretched though that would help with fender clearance. Maybe look for a used set with the now discontinued 9.5" +44 rear like this one: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/108...#entry23171890

Enh depending on the 245 it may not look that stretched. May look close to my 255 on a 10 inch wide wheel. 17's have more sodewall so they tend to look less stretched than 18's. They can fit it may just take a little pulling and more camber than other setups but it is doable without stupid camber.

Go with your original set up. It will look excellent. 225/45 in front and 245/40 in rear. The fronts will probably only need -2 degrees of camber. The rears will most likely require -3.5 degrees depending on how low you go. Well worth the effort.
